Let the speculation stop, and then immediately begin again!

At around 7 p.m. this evening, Major League Soccer officially released the protected lists for each team. Orlando fans can stop guessing who will be left unprotected in the MLS Expansion Draft, and start guessing at who the team will select.

Big names like Eddie Johnson from D.C. United and Tim Cahill from the New York Red Bulls will grab most of the headlines, but there’s a good deal of talent available here. MLS veterans like Kenny Cooper (Seattle), Marvell Wynne (Colorado), Davy Arnaud (DC), and Corey Ashe (Houston) will also be available, and will certainly be tempting to a very youthful Orlando City.

That’s not to say there aren’t a few young talents available as well. Gale Agbossoumonde of Colorado is a promising 23-year-old center back who has one cap for the U.S. National Team. Forward Patrick Mullins saw time for New England in Sunday’s MLS Cup Final, and midfielder Michael Azira started for Seattle in the playoffs.
