Lost amid all the Expansion Draft and trade talk Wednesday, two Orlando City SC Youth Academy players were called up to the U-15 U.S. Boys National Team for a week-long training camp, which begins Sunday.

Midfielder Jacob Garzon and forward Mario Licor were selected for national service and will represent the Lions at a camp in Bradenton, Fla. The camp will run from Dec. 13-20. The team agenda will consist of an intra-squad match-up and a training session with the U.S. U-17 Men’s National Team. In all, 36 players were called up for the camp and 29 are currently in the development academy system.

“We are proud of the boys,” said Orlando City Boys Director of Youth Club Paul Shaw. “We hope to continue the trend of getting our players into international competition and recognized for their hard work.”

Licor has had a fantastic season so far, notching twelve goals for the Lions in league play. Garzon is also doing well, scoring seven goals from the midfield and starting every game for City’s U-15s this season.
