We're only a day away from Orlando City's second Carolina Challenge Cup game against hosts Charleston Battery, as the Lions continue their quest for the most prestigious Southeastern-based preseason trophy in all of MLS.

So yeah, it's kind of a big deal.

In the meantime, we've got some Lion Links to get you through your Tuesday morning.

OCSC Academy's Pierre Da Silva named to U-17 national team

Orlando City Academy product Pierre Da Silva has been named to the U-17 USMNT ahead of the 2015 CONCACAF Championship in Honduras.

Let's meet Pierre.

The 16-year-old forward hails from Port Chester, NY, and has been a rising star in the USMNT ranks. He's all over this highlight tape from last year's Nike International Friendlies and should get a chance to show even more of his potential at the 2015 CONCACAF Championship. The U-17's first game is this Friday against Cuba.

CONCACAF Champion's League quarterfinals gets underway

Two MLS clubs remain in the quest for North America’s biggest trophy (at least in theory) as the Montreal Impact and D.C. United will play the first leg of their respective quarterfinal series this week.

The Impact will take on Mexican side Pachuca tonight (10 p.m. on Fox Sports 2) while United will battle Costa Rican side Alajuelense on Thursday (8 p.m. on Fox Sports). No MLS side has ever won the competition, and this year will be as challenging as ever, with three Costa Rican sides remaining in the the tournament.

Orlando City will get their first chance to qualify for the tournament (as an MLS club) during the U.S. Open Cup this summer.

MLS stars talk expectations for Orlando City, NYCFC

Several MLS players sounded off on what Orlando City and New York City FC can expect during their first season in MLS, in a video posted on MLS.com.

Kaká was joined by LA Galaxy stars Robbie Rodgers and Omar Gonzalez, Real Salt Lake’s Kyle Beckerman, and others, as they discussed how they expect MLS’s two newest clubs to perform in 2015.

Rodgers expressed doubt that either club will be able to contend right away, while Gonzalez and Beckerman were more optimistic, with Gonzalez going so far as to claim that Kaká was still "on his way up" as a soccer player.

If that's the case, it's going to be a fun season in Orlando.
