What an opener. This match-up has the making of an instant rivalry. I'm just glad it's finally soccer time in America.

So if you didn't catch the game …

Here are some highlights of Orlando City's inaugural MLS game. I apologize for not embedding it but I can't get it off MLS' website for whatever reason. You'll get to see Mix's goal, Collin's red card and of course, Kaká scoring the club's first goal in MLS.

Not included: OCSC's three yellow cards for alleged simulated diving. Lion Nation will roar about that until Houston.

No sleep till Houston

Houston Dynamo are next up for Orlando City. This is what the Dynamo did against Columbus Crew Saturday night. Dynamo's homegrown goalie Tyler Deric had a lights-out performance against the Crew. It should be a fun game.

USWNT in Algarve Cup

The U.S. play Iceland in the third and final group match of the tournament, which is a precursor for this summer's Women's World Cup in Canada (road trip, anyone?). The USWNT has outscored the competition 5-1 in the two matches played so far and look nearly untouchable.

You won't find it on TV due to poor lighting at the stadium, but you can follow along with the US Women's Soccer Twitter account.

CONCACAF U-17 Update

OCSC Youth product Nathaniel Adamolekun scored another goal in Jamaica's 5-1 win over Trinidad and Tobago Sunday afternoon. It's his third goal of the tournament and Jamaica only has eight total, so it's safe to say Adamolekun's played a large part in Jamaica's tournament. They will tie for second place with a game to go if Honduras loses to the United States tonight. Jamaica and the United States play Wednesday night.

The U.S. conceded late to draw with Honduras, 2-2, in the late game but remain unbeaten in the tournament. Orlando City academy product Pierre Da Silva came on in the 81st minute but did not figure in the scoring. The U.S. tops group A with 10 points after four rounds. Jamaica sits third with seven points behind Honduras, which has eight points.

That's it for today. Try to recover from yesterday's festivities and get some work done.
