As you wake up this Wednesday, The Mane Land has you covered for all of the news that you need to know for Orlando City and Major League Soccer.

More Roar!

Orlando City SC announced yesterday that the club will be opening up an additional 3,000 seats for its next home game on March 21 against the Vancouver Whitecaps. After setting a Citrus Bowl soccer attendance record, surpassing even the 1994 World Cup games, the front office has made the decision to open up more seats to help cope with the increased demand for tickets that has arisen from those fans that thoroughly enjoyed Orlando’s MLS debut.

The Club also announced that the front office will continue to monitor the situation regarding demand for the Vancouver game as well as other home games and will make decisions regarding capacity as needed.

Radio City

Orlando City also announced yesterday that Coach Heath and other members of the coaching staff will be taking part in a weekly radio show on Real Radio 104.1. The show will be recorded in downtown Orlando at club partner, Harry Buffalo on Tuesday evenings and it will be hosted by Tom Traxler and Jeff Radcliffe. Supporters are encouraged to go along and be a part of the show.

This announcement is a continuation of the partnership between Real Radio 104.1 and Orlando City, with Real Radio 104.1 also broadcasting all of Orlando City games on their radio station. Our own Sean Rollins will recap last night's initial coach's show later this morning.

Keane for MLS!

After notching a goal in the opening game for the defending MLS Cup Champions, and grabbing a goal of the week nomination as well, Robbie Keane has started negotiations with the LA Galaxy front office to extend his stay in Major League Soccer. Keane has been at the forefront of the growth of soccer in the United States in recent years, whilst playing with David Beckham and Landon Donovan, and it is nice to see that Keane, currently 34 years of age, is willing to stick around and help MLS continue its overall growth.

With the number of USMNT players returning home and more Designated Players in the league than ever before, it is an exciting time to be watching MLS.

Expansion Talk

After the successful launch of OCSC and NYCFC, the league has announced that another expansion decision should be announced within the next '45-60 days' and many clubs are still in the hunt to try to collect the final remaining spot likely available through 2020. With LA and Atlanta confirmed for 2017 and Miami likely a franchise (despite all its troubles), it is anybody's guess who will be next.

Sacramento and Minnesota are the most likely markets, however Austin, San Antonio, and St. Louis are also in the mix. Since NYCFC was able to buy its way in, expect whoever is willing to pay the highest franchise fee to get the nod as the final team.

Hopefully your voice is starting to return so that you can get ready to support your city again on Friday. Stay tuned for how to watch, our upcoming match preview and lots of other features to get you prepped for the Houston Dynamo.
