The Year of the Brek Continues

Everyone is interested in Brek Shea’s return to the States and here’s another interview about it, this time with freelance writing extraordinaire Leander Schaerlaeckens. It’s no secret he’s one of my favorites, so watch it, and enjoy it.

Personally, I love his damn bucket hat in the video and holy crap he handles a snake.

Orlando Sentinel Shows OCSC Supporters Some Love

Supporter groups are the backbone of every Major League Soccer club, and this video by the Orlando Sentinel is a good example of that. It's great to hear Phil Rawlins say nice things about the people who make MLS in the United States possible.

P.S. Don't call them hooligans. Also, here's footage of some fans showing a deep appreciation for Sports Illustrated's soccer guru Grant Wahl. Or they're throwing shade. Both, maybe.

Conor Donovan Sees Field in U-20 Action

Conor Donovan, the young OCSC defender, came on in the 87th minute to help the U.S. U-20s seal a 1-0 win against Croatia's U-20 team. He also scored in the Qatar match last Tuesday, so it's safe to say he's had a decent camp.

It’s the last game before the U-20 World Cup in May. The U.S. gets Myanmar, New Zealand and Ukraine in Group A.

Also, here's an interview with Bryan Rochez about the U-20 World Cup. He'll probably represent Honduras in the competition. Los Ticos share a group with Germany, Fiji and Uzbekistan.

Getting Ready for the CONCACAF Champions League Final

The second leg is Wednesday, and Montreal is one game away from winning the continental championship in the name of Major League Soccer. Go ahead and watch this 14-minute highlight video of Montreal's ride to the CONCACAF finale and try to figure out how MLS' last-place team is this close to being CONCACAF's best.

Update: Sean Johnson is most likely not getting loaned to Montreal for the final. And neither is Stefan Frei. Calm down, Lalas.
