Lion Links: 5/26/15
There's no hangover quite like a Memorial Day hangover. Pour a little extra Bailey's in your coffee to get you ready for Tuesday's Lion Links.
Adrian Heath's Post Game Press Conference
Orlando City manager Adrian Heath was less than pleased with the penalty given to San Jose, but was quick to praise the general effort of the Lions at every turn of Sunday’s 1-1 draw with the Earthquakes at Levi’s Stadium.
"[It was] Stupid," Heath said. "At the end of the day, the ball's in the air, the kid has got his back to the goal, can't score, can't do anything. We've given the referee the perfect opportunity to even things up. Overall, I have to say I have to be pleased with the point."
Check out the video below to hear the rest of Heath's thoughts from his post-match presser.
Brek Shea Says What We All Screamed At Our TVs
When asked how he felt about the foul, Brek made it crystal clear.
"I went in for the ball," Shea said. "I thought he made the most of it, to be honest."
Okay, so it was the PG version of what we all screamed at our TVs.
See what else Brek had to say about the boys holding on for a point.
Real Madrid Send Carlo Ancelotti Packing
A little over one calendar year after leading Real Madrid to the UEFA Champions League crown, legendary manager Carlo Ancelotti finds himself out of work.
While Napoli boss Rafa Benitez is rumored to be the new man in Madrid, BBC.com mentions possibilities ranging from back surgery to clubs in Italy, Germany and England.
Word has it Adrian Heath has already turned down the job to stick with Orlando City, delaying the official announcement of the new manager until next week.
Didier Drogba Finishes Chelsea Career, Immediately Linked to MLS
That certainly didn't take long.
Just minutes after his Chelsea teammates carried him off the pitch in his final match, Drogba was linked to a move stateside to an MLS club.
Drogba: “Of course the US interests me. Now I’m going to have a few days and weeks to think about what is good for me next.” [Telegraph]

Of course, this was expected, as it has been known that NYCFC are looking to get their Yankee hands on the international star.
I can confirm you that Didier Drogba have received an offer from New-York City FC in the MLS. More to come.

Surely, this will be an interesting summer ahead.
Major League Soccer Tribute to Chris Wondolowski
With the USMNT rep and San Jose Earthquake reaching 100 career MLS goals against our Orlando City boys Sunday night, you knew a video montage was coming.
A great watch, but somehow, it just makes me more bitter about the Belgium miss from the World Cup.
Orlando City's Donovan Replaces Canouse on U.S. U-20 World Cup Team
The United States Under-20 Men's National Team was forced to make its final roster change ahead of this summer's U-20 World Cup on Monday evening, when it was announced that Russell Canouse will miss the entirety of the competition after injuring his ankle during training. His replacement will be Orlando City defender Conor Donovan.
"Today was a very tough decision to make," U.S. U-20 head coach Tab Ramos said in a statement. "Obviously Russell led our team to qualification in the last four matches in Jamaica, so I think that we lose a player that's very important on the field, but also off the field. So it's a big loss for us.
"At the same time, we were prepared by having Conor be here the whole time. Conor has been working hard with us, he's adapted and he has been with the team for a while. So we were ready with a replacement and we're excited to have Conor on board, who also brings a lot on the field and off the field."
Atlético Paraná Suffers Loss on the Pitch
No, not a game, something much more important. In the first half, 27-year-old defender Cristian Gomez collapsed on the field. Doctors at General San Martin Hospital in Corrientes were unable to revive Gomez. The cause of death was not immediately known.
On that sad note, don't take Tuesday for granted, Lions.
