Orlando City Supporters Raising Money For Inchy's Fine

Yesterday, Orlando City Head Coach Adrian Heath and the club were each fined an undisclosed amount of money by MLS for his comments on Orlando fan favorite Dom Dwyer. Supporter group Iron Lion Firm started a GoFundMe campaign to raise $25,000 to pay off the fine. While this appears to be started as a joke, we hope the money raised is put to good use with one of the many charities here in Orlando. Within just a few hours, the fund had raised $600.

USWNT Draws With Sweden

In a game many expected to thrill us all, the match between the second and fifth best women's teams in the world was disappointing to say the least, as the teams battled to a scoreless draw. The U.S. remains atop Group D with four points and now Sweden faces a must-win scenario against Australia. The Americans have a much easier route to the knockout round, as they face Nigeria next in the last match of the group stage.

Thomas McNamara Awarded MLS Goal Of The Week

Always the bridesmaid, never the bride, Orlando City had a player miss out on the MLS Goal of the Week Award for the second consecutive week. A week after Ribeiro’s rocket against Columbus failed to win the award, Cyle Larin scored a beautiful goal against the Chicago Fire, but it wasn’t enough to win him the award either. I think the MLS Rookie of the Year frontrunner will be OK without this week’s award, as the NYCFC player, McNamara, definitely scored one for the ages.

Interpol Suspends FIFA Partnership

While I, for one, am still unable to put down the latest Jack Warner comedy show, FIFA has taken another huge blow. The international police organization, aptly named Interpol, has dropped their $22 million partnership with FIFA. For FIFA, it is money that talks and this will hopefully turn a few heads. FIFA President Sepp Blatter continues to claim he is working to repair FIFA, although I doubt many believe him.
