Welcome one and all to your Friday edition of the Lion Links! We are one day away from the match with FC Dallas, so go back and read Pride Pub so you’re set for this weekend. On to the Links!

Sean St. Ledger, the Saga!

Great article on St. Ledger. You’ll get to know the Irish defender who has finally put together a string of 10 straight starts after what can only be described as an obstacle ridden climb back from injury. Now he’s getting the chance to show that, at 30, he still has plenty of play in him for Orlando City SC.

Don’t call it a comeback!

Landon Donovan is going to be a Coach!

Seems that later this month, Landon Donovan (a.k.a. “Don Ovan”) will skipper the MLS Homegrown team at the 2015 Chipotle MLS Homegrown Game. Mmmmmm….burritos…

You can see it in his eyes…burritos!

Didier to MLS? The Magic 8-Ball says “Outlook Good”

For the discriminating, aging footballer, Major League Soccer seems to be the destination of choice. Lampard, Gerrard, and now…Didier Drogba, maybe. Despite interest from other European Clubs, it looks like he’ll be the next English Premier League player to cross the pond and come to MLS.

He’s Coming to America! My-T-Sharp. If you don’t get it, look it up! Speaking of America…

U.S. Men’s National Team looks to keep rolling against Haiti

Tonight the USMNT takes on Haiti in their second Gold Cup match. The Yanks are on a five-game winning streak and want to stay atop the group. It also seems they are the odds-on favorite to make it six in a row. So now the question is how many goals will they score? I’m not a betting man, but I’ll take the under against the USWMT’s five goals in the World Cup Final.

And finally…

Don’t travel with Bryan Róchez…seriously

This one is straight out of the movie, Planes, Trains and Automobiles. Only instead of Steve Martin’s hilarious travels, we have an absolutely absurd story of the Bryan Róchez’s frustrating travels. The Honduran striker had a world of trouble getting to the FIFA Under-20 World Cup in New Zealand, and then getting back to Orlando.

There you have it Mane Landers. What’s your friendly wager on how many goals the USMNT scores tonight? Which beer and food pairing did you pick from Pride Pub? Or are you going to be like Landon? Enjoy your burrito!
