Time stops for no losing team and therefore on to Tuesday's Lion Links, which also happens to get you one day closer to game day.

Healing with Humor

So in case you missed it, we lost on Sunday. However, it’s important to remember that it’s okay to laugh, even when things are going wrong. This week’s humor is brought to you by the Orlando City kit managers’ failure to properly adhere the team crest to Tally Hall’s Jersey. Also we should remember that when even the crest falls off the shirt, you know it isn’t going to be a good day. These are the best of the worst from the OCSC wardrobe malfunction:

USA Today – GK has wardrobe malfunction

Skysports – GK top missing crest

Daily Record – GK makes MLS global laughing stock (their words not ours)

ESPNFC – Tally goes incognito

Eurosport – Kiss the crest?

OCSC U-17 Player Gets the Nod

In anticipation of the 2015 U-17 World Cup taking place in Chile in October, Orlando City youth academy product Pierre Da Silva has grabbed a squad place for the 2015 U-17 International Youth Tournament of Vaclav Jezek taking place this week. The selection of Da Silva isn’t a huge surprise as this isn’t his first cap for the U.S. U-17s, however it is another notch in the post for the quality of young kids that are rising up through the ranks within the Orlando City youth academy.

FIFA Gets Technical

Yesterday saw the release of the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup technical report. The report provides numerous details and statistics about the tournament as well as unveiling the All-Star Squad of the tournament.

The USWNT roster features heavily, with five players making the roster. Adidas Golden Glove winner Hope Solo, as well as Adidas Ballon d’Or winner Carli Lloyd lead the way, however Meghan Klingenberg, Megan Rapinoe & Julie Johnston were also included. Somehow, Becky Sauerbrunn, one of the tournament’s best players at any position, was not. Go figure.

The USWNT Victory Tour will make a stop in Orlando on Oct. 25 and for at least one more USWNT player it will also be her farewell tour as midfielder/defender Lori Chalupny announced that she will be retiring from international soccer at the end of the year. Chalupny, who joins Shannon Boxx and Lauren Holiday in announcing her international soccer retirement, became the 32nd person to reach 100 caps for the USWNT team, and she will be honored in front of the crowd in the second game against Costa Rica on Wednesday.

Paying Homage to Your Team

Just in case you need any more OCSC merchandise, Ohio-based Homage have brought out a new t-shirt and scarf, and for the complete purple ensemble, you can even get purple socks. So why don't you hover your mouse over this link and buy more purple!

That's all for today, Mane Landers. Just remember that even though we are in the midst of a losing streak, things could always be worse — we could be NYCFC fans.
