Orlando City SC announced this morning that recently acquired striker Adam Bedell has been loaned to Danish First Division side HB Køge. The loan will last until Dec. 31, 2015.

The Lions acquired the 6-foot-7 striker from the Columbus Crew on Aug. 6 for their highest second round pick in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft. The 23-year old has spent the majority of the 2015 season on loan with USL sides Austin Aztex and Richmond Kickers. He has yet to make an appearance for Orlando City.

"We think this is a good opportunity for Adam to get playing time," Orlando City GM Paul McDonough stated about the move in a club press release. "Getting regular minutes in the next few months will be great for his development."

McDonough first told The Mane Land about Scandinavian interest in Bedell in an exclusive interview published on Aug. 10.

From our experience with Adam, and knowing some people, there's a bit of interest in him in Scandinavia. So he'll probably go out after the season and we'll send him over to Scandinavia and see how he does. When Adrian (Heath) and I were talking, we thought it would be good to, at some stage (get Bedell) — we thought it would be next year, but it presented itself so I moved on it.

Per club and league policy, additional details of the loan deal were not disclosed.
