On this week’s Orlando City Coach’s Show with Adrian Heath, the Lions’ boss discussed Saturday night’s scoreless draw with the Chicago Fire, this coming weekend’s game against the New England Revolution, and other aspects around Orlando City SC.

Chicago Game

"I wanted a better performance and a better application of a performance and I think we got that."

"We had a big meeting on Thursday and then the players had a meeting after I left."

"That's the one thing I said to the players before the game was we have to show our supporters, who are so emotionally and financially invested, that it means something to play for us."

Team's Struggles

"Talk's cheap. We have to start showing it on the field."

"They do care."

Lightning Delays

"You want to know how long the break's going to be because at least then you know when to prepare."

Final Third

"If you have four quality chances like that in the game, normally you win the game."

"We had more than enough chances to have won the game comfortably."

Playoffs

"I get the sense that everyone's a little disillusioned but we're in with a great opportunity."

"People should realize it's not easy the first year."

On Cyle Larin Goal Being Changed

"It would've been nice to have it (the record) over and done with."

MLS Observing FIFA International Breaks

"I think the dialogue will begin at the end of the season. That's when the ownership groups of every club have an opportunity to sit down with the commissioner, Mr. Garber, and actually explain the problems that we're having because of the situation."

Brek Shea Availability for New England

"Probably not. May be too early. We'll have a better idea on Thursday."

Training with 10 Men

"It is something we've done and we've gone over."

Shooting from Distance

"I think if they get an opportunity they should do."

Evaluating Fitness

"I know after every training session how far every player's ran, how fast they've ran, and how many sprints they've made."

Surprising About This Season

"Injury situation has been more than I would have imagined and more importantly, I couldn't imagine we'd ever get nine red cards. It might even be more because we've got more games left. We've already played more minutes a man down than in the history of the MLS."

Cyle Larin

"This is the longest Cyle Larin has ever played. We would've loved to have given him a break this week but now he's away with Canada. And now their coach who hasn't seen him for three months is going to try to put three months work into him in like five days."

Corey Ashe at Right Back

"We didn't have another right back. Tyler has played and it's proved a little bit too much for him at this time and we felt that the more experience we had on the field in this clutch moment that we're in, we needed as many experienced players as we can on the field."

Changing Formation

"Every time we're picking a team, you're picking a team to win a game. I'm never going into a situation where we went into Montreal and we played a 3-4-3, I don't think anybody in the league's played that this season, we got a result. We could've won that game. If I thought we had enough strength behind playing two (forwards), I would play two."

New England Revolution

"It's a game that we need to win. We're going to try to do everything we can to win the game because we're at that stage of the season where every point you take, whether it be one or whether it be three, is huge. But it's going to be difficult, we know. We know because we've already spoke about how we're out four players that played on Saturday, which is never a good thing, but we have do everything we can to win and put out a team that can get a result on Saturday."

“They’re very good the way they play. They play three up high and Lee Nguyen underneath, who I think is one of the best number tens in the league.”

“They’ve got an abundance of riches going forward.” (Diego Fagundez, Charlie Davies, Juan Agudelo)
