Hey, what do ya know? It actually is possible to put down FIFA 16 for more than 10 minutes to write up today's edition of the Lion Links!

If you're like me, you've been playing the game nonstop since picking it up on Tuesday. I'm currently waist deep in turning AFC Bournemouth into the new Premier League giants. Who doesn't like a little challenge?

Enough about me, let's talk about real soccer, and all of the interesting things happening in the soccer world, shall we?

Baby Brek Is Here

On behalf of the entire staff here at The Mane Land, we would like to congratulate Brek Shea and his partner, Carling, on the birth of their first child, Phoenix.

As you can tell, there's a lot less body paint this time around as compared to when the couple made their last birth announcement a few weeks ago. It's usually go big or go home with Brek, but this time he opted to go small. Maybe it's the cautious daddy brain kicking in.

USWNT's History In Orlando

As you probably heard by now, the U.S. Women's National Team is coming to Orlando to play Brazil at the Citrus Bowl on Oct. 25. This won't be the first time the ladies have come to town, as the team has quite a history here. Our own Sean Rollins took a look back at the USWNT and their time in Orlando over at OrlandoCitySC.com, and you should definitely go ahead and prep your knowledge for the game next month.

At Least You Tried, Tottenham

Hockey legend Wayne Gretzky was at White Hart Lane on Wednesday to watch Tottenham take on Arsenal in the North London Derby, and of course you don't bring a star to a sporting event without honoring him before the game. The Spurs presented Gretzky with a custom jersey before the match. Except there was one little problem: they misspelled his name.

Better luck next time, guys.

Rising Bryan Rochez

Bryan Rochez is making himself a favorite among Orlando City fans lately with goals in each of his last two games, including a game-winner against the Chicago Fire last weekend. Rochez, who has struggled to find minutes in his first season with Orlando City, is starting to show his potential with the Lions.
