Several Orlando City academy products attend college to further their development with hopes of eventually making it to the first team. This week many of those player were in action for schools around the country.

This past week, 15 players represented schools spanning several levels of college soccer. Here's a look at how those players did.

Drew Trautmann – Sophomore – GK – Rollins College

Started and played 90 minutes in a 1-0 loss to Eckard College Saturday.

Kyndall Cobb – Sophomore – GK – Coker College

Started and played 92:29 in a 2-1 overtime loss to Mars Hill Saturday, conceding one goal and making three saves.

Noah Franke – Sophomore – MF – Creighton University

Started and played 40 minutes in a 4-0 win over Missouri State Tuesday night.

Started and played 80 minutes in a 1-0 win over DePaul Saturday, recording one shot.

Zachary King – Sophomore – GK – Lenoir Rhyne University

Started and played 91 minutes in a 2-1 overtime win over North Georgia Wednesday night, recording four saves and conceding one goal.

Started and played 90 minutes in a 4-1 loss to Queens Saturday, making three saves and conceding four goals.

Eli Lockaby – Freshman – MF – Virginia Commonwealth University

Started in a 1-1 draw at George Mason Saturday.

Michael Melvin – Sophomore – MF – Clemson University

Played 25 minutes in a 4-0 win over Gardner-Webb Tuesday night.

Played two minutes in a 2-0 win over Virginia Tech Saturday.

Johnny Nartowitcz – Freshman – MF – Rollins College

Started and played 82 minutes in a 2-1 win over St. Leo Wednesday night, recording an assist.

Started and played 34 minutes in a 1-0 loss to Eckard College Saturday.

Sean Reilly – Sophomore – D – Cedarville University

Started and played 90 minutes in a 2-1 win over Mercyhurst Wednesday night.

Started and played 82 minutes in a 4-2 loss to Alderson Broaddus Saturday.

Dennis Zapata – Freshman – MF – Florida Gulf Coast University

Started and played 64 minutes in a 4-0 win over Jacksonville Wednesday night.

Started and played 49 minutes in a 2-0 win over Stetson Saturday.

Gorka Apperibay – Freshman – F – University of Central Florida

Played 12 minutes in a 2-1 loss to Florida International Tuesday night.

Played five minutes in a 2-1 loss to SMU Friday night.

Nicholas O'Callahan – Freshman – D – Elon Univeristy

Started and played 90 minutes in a 4-1 loss to William & Mary Wednesday night.

Jaiden Fortune – Freshman – F – Elon University

Played 45 minutes in a 4-1 loss to William & Mary Saturday night, recording an assist.

Charles Lynch – Freshman – MF – Rose Hulman Institute of Technology

Started in a 4-0 win over Defiance on Sunday.

Alex Doyle – Freshman – MF – Barry University

Played 19 minutes in a 2-0 win over Florida Southern Saturday.

Aaron Kleinart – Freshman – D- University of California, Riverside

Started and played 90 minutes in a 2-1 loss to UC Davis Thursday night.

Started and played 90 minutes in a 3-1 win over Sacramento State Saturday.

Player Spotlight

Name: Michael Melvin

School: Clemson University

Position: Midfield

Year: Sophomore

Hometown: Jacksonville, FL

High School: Nease High School

Prior to joining the Orlando City academy, Melvin played for the youth club Jacksonville United FC. He joined the club's U-15/16 team and continued as a key part of the academy through the U-18 team.

Melvin began contributing during his freshman year at Clemson, playing in 13 games during the 2014 season. He assisted the golden goal in the ACC Tournament final against Louisville, winning the school its first ACC Tournament title since 2001.
