Welcome to Tuesday, Mane Landers. Even though yesterday was quieter on the soccer front than it has been in the last few weeks for Orlando City and the league in general, we still have plenty of information that you need to know to make sure that you are up to date.

Rawlins to Speak at Blazercon

Whether or you love or hate Men in Blazers, there is no doubt that they have made soccer more accessible for the fair weather American soccer fan. In celebration of that, this weekend is the first (annual) Blazercon, where soccer luminaries and other famous celebs will hang out to discuss the beautiful game. One luminary who will be in attendance is our very own club president, Phil Rawlins, who will be discussing the future and growth of soccer in the United States. Unfortunately, if you wanted to go, tickets are all sold out, but then who needs Men in Blazers when you have us!

OCSC Signs Homegrown Goalkeeper

Orlando City announced yesterday that 18-year-old Mason Stajduhar signed an MLS Homegrown Player contract with the club. The signing of Stajduhar marks the fourth Homegrown Player contracted for the club and highlights the way that Orlando City is building for the future. Stajduhar is expected to get minutes with OCB in USL next season while acting as backup for the Orlando City first team if needed.

Old Foe Gets New Head Coach

After parting ways with Jason Kreis just last week, NYCFC has wasted no time whatsoever in appointing his replacement. In a move that surprised no one, former France international Patrick Vieira has been appointed on a three-year contract. Vieira, who has spent the last few years as the head coach of the Elite Development Squad at (sister/parent club) Manchester City, will step into the job knowing that anything less than championship success will be classed as failure by the cash-spending NYCFC ownership. However, it may also show a reclassification by the ownership of what they expect from NYCFC in the long run.

German Soccer President Calls it Quits

DFB (German Soccer Federation) president Wolfgang Niersbach announced his resignation yesterday after being caught up in a tax evasion investigation, which stems from a payment to FIFA regarding the placement of the 2006 FIFA World Cup. Niersbach, who denies any knowledge of the payments or guilt, says he is resigning to take "political responsibility" for the situation, which has sparked multiple investigations in Germany.

Moyes Gets the Sack

After guiding Everton FC successfully for 11 years, David Moyes is now looking for his third new club in two years. After a disappointing spell in charge of Manchester United, Moyes took the job at Real Sociedad trying to resuscitate his managerial credentials. However, after a disappointing start to the current La Liga season, with only two wins out of 11, Moyes once again finds himself out of a job. But don't believe that he will be out of a job for long, as he is still fairly respected as a head coach.
