If you're reading this, it's probably Thursday, the least cool day of your week. It's not Friday, which makes it pretty lame, if I'm being totally honest.

Edwards Jr. Recovering Well From Knee Surgery

Orlando City’s backup goalkeeper, Earl Edwards Jr., saw his rookie season in MLS end a few weeks short due to a knee injury suffered in training. Edwards Jr. was forced to have surgery on his meniscus, and, less than five weeks later, he returned to Lions training, participating in drills at practice this week. Edwards Jr. is recovering well ahead of schedule, writes Orlando Sentinel beat reporter Paul Tenorio. The 2016 season could be a big one for the second-year keeper, who Orlando thinks could be a top MLS goalie down the road.

Phil Rawlins Honored For Community Work

The club announced on Wednesday that President Phil Rawlins will be awarded the 2015 Dick Pope Legacy Award for "the club's contribution to strengthening the sustainability of Florida's hospitality and tourism industry." The ceremony will take place on Nov. 13 at The Dick Pope Legacy Award Luncheon at the Wyndham Resort on International Drive.

Kaká Not Taking Argentina Lightly

In case you forgot, Kaká has been called up by Brazil for their upcoming World Cup qualifying matches this weekend. The Orlando City midfielder will be with team for their big match against Argentina tonight. Kaká knows it’ll be a tough match, and La Albiceleste are not to be taken lightly as the Brazilians begin their quest for Russia in 2018.

USA U-23 Fall To Brazil

Speaking of Brazil: the USMNT U-23 team fell in their first of two friendly matches against the South American side on Wednesday night, 2-1. Proceed to this match recap with extreme caution, if you want to avoid being in a bad mood all day.

A Pretty Hot Take on the NASL

Let's finish this round off on a lighter note, shall we? The NASL made a pretty questionable move by announcing it was expanding to Oklahoma City in 2016 with Rayo OKC, an expansion club that will be owned and operated by La Liga side Rayo Vallecano, a low-table side you've probably never heard of. Black and Red United, our sister blog covering DC United, had a pretty strong take on the news, basically ripping the NASL a new one for making a decision that will probably come back to bite them in the ass in a couple of years. NASL, you are bad, and you should feel bad.

This is a league that is fighting for D1 status, by the by.
