It’s Friday everyone, that glorious day where we wrap up the work week and enjoy the weekend. I know, it’s not the same without Orlando City soccer, but we do get to see the USMNT play (and hopefully win), so there is always that! Without further ado, let’s begin the day with some Lion Links.

By playing in a friendly in the Maracanã Stadium against Flamengo. Pedro grew up in Brazil and playing in this hallowed stadium has always been a dream of his. My only hope is that he can score at least one goal as Orlando City starts off the postseason wind-down with an excellent win.

After some rough losses, Jürgen Klinsmann and the boys look towards an easy opening match to get the morale back up. With several new players called up to the team and some old ones left off, the chances that the USMNT wins this opener are incredibly high.

Need an MLS news fix? Sports Illustrated has you covered. To sum it all up, LA Galaxy are going to be bending the rules again (big shocker there) to keep Omar Gonzalez. Darlington Nagbe is impressing with the USMNT, Robbie Keane is being rumored to coach the new LAFC franchise, Osvaldo Alonso is being shopped around by the Seattle Sounders and MLS prize money numbers are revealed. All in all, some really good stuff.

FIFA Still Sucks, Here is More Proof

So, FIFA sucks. Why? Because they are letting an alleged torturer run for FIFA president but not someone who received money years after doing a job. Sheikh Salman of Bahrain is somehow still allowed to run despite the outrage from human rights activist groups. Meanwhile, UEFA President Michel Platini, who is currently suspended for taking an alleged unlawful payment, is not on the list of candidates to have passed the integrity test. Let that sink in, guys.

MLS Top 10 Worst Teams

It’s no secret that MLS has had some really bad teams, but Paste Magazine took a look at the top 10 worst MLS teams of all time. Topping the list are the 1999 Metrostars, gaining 15 points in 32 games. The most recent team on the list is the 2014 Chivas USA team that gained 33 points in 34 games. While those two clubs are no longer in the league, a few teams on this list are not only still active, but are also pretty successful. Take a look to find out.
