USA versus China Women’s International Friendly: Preview, How to Watch, TV Info, Live Stream and Lineups

Welcome to your open thread for the United States Women's National Team's Victory Tour match against China. Glendale, AZ will be the site of match number nine on the tour, and the U.S. will be looking to stretch their home unbeaten run to 104 games.

The U.S. is 33-8-13 all-time against China, according to ussoccer.com, with the U.S. winning the most recent meeting in the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup quarterfinals. Carli Lloyd scored the lone goal in that one, and also scored last time out, as the Americans thumped Trinidad and Tobago, 6-0, Thursday night.

The Orlando Pride’s Alex Morgan could be back in the starting lineup, playing up top. Morgan has three goals in the last four WNT games, including one Thursday in San Antonio. Ashlyn Harris did not get in Thursday’s game, as Hope Solo played the entire match, but tonight is another chance for Harris to get some minutes against a quality opponent.

This is also the penultimate game in the career of Abby Wambach. The all-time leader in international goals–both men and women–will retire at the end of the Victory Tour. Expect Wambach to enter some time in the second half, no doubt to thunderous applause. While Wambach's career winds down, the international career of Lindsey Horan is just beginning. The PSG product had two assists and scored her first international goal against T&T, and is making a strong case to be a starter in the midfield when Olympic qualifiers begin in 2016.

These two teams have plenty of history and this should be a good game!

Match Thread Rules:

This is your live thread for posting comments on the match. So use our comments section below to talk about the game in real time with our supporters. If you are new, welcome to our happy home! While you are here, please observe a few basic rules:

  • Absolutely no illegal streams. They can get us in trouble, and nobody wants that.
  • Try not to be "that guy" who does nothing but spew venom and hate towards the team. Being critical is fine–every team can be frustrating to watch sometimes–but constantly being too critical can diminish the fun for others
  • Keep it clean and fair when criticizing players or officials. You never know who might be reading.
  • Treat others in the match thread as you would like to be treated in the thread. We are a fun community and want to keep it this way. There is a moderator, but we'd rather let him enjoy watching the game instead of having to play babysitter.
  • Lastly, while we do not have any rules against profanity, do not abuse this non-rule. Any language that is sexist, racist, or homophobic in nature will be swiftly deleted and you may lose posting privileges. We are all in this together.

Enjoy the game! Go USA!
