Friday, Friday, gotta get down to Lake Nona tonight for happy hour with Orlando City on Friday. That aside, this is always my least favorite part of the off-season. Close enough to see match dates on the calendar, but just far enough to have to slog through several more weeks until we get to see Orlando City kick off the season against Real Salt Lake in the Citrus Bowl on March 6. Kaká could go to Milan, but he's happy here in Orlando

On FIFA TV, Kaká was asked if he plans on going back to Milan, which prompted the Orlando City captain to respond with the following:

For now, I'm happy in America … I loved to play with Milan so, I think I'll always have the door open, but I don't know. I'm good in America.

Granted, he’s not really saying anything here and he’s only speaking in the clichés that all athletes use when they’re active and don’t want to take anything off the table, but let’s all agree that anything inflammatory like “Kaká looking for move back to Milan,” is pretty silly. Kevin Molino and his beach body are looking forward to a strong 2016 return

"Beach Bod" would be the words of Coach Adrian Heath. After suffering a season-ending injury in a friendly vs. Brazilian squad Ponte Preta last May, Kevin Molino is poised for a breakout 2016. The club may be taking things easy with the Trinidadian midfielder, but he insists that he's ready. After a hard eight months of not being on the pitch, Molino committed himself to the gym and getting stronger and more in shape for his return. Molino strengthened his commitment to return stronger and better than ever.

"I'm not going to take it for granted. And every day I go on the training pitch, everything I put in is what I'm going to get out of it. So what I put in in the training field is what I'm going to get out of games and I'm very excited looking forward to the first game on March 6."

Mayor Buddy Dyer breaks down OCSC's stadium land deal

Earlier in the week, Orlando's City Council voted and approved the sale of public land to Orlando City Soccer Club for the team's new stadium, for which construction is already underway. Details of the deal show that the club will play games at the new venue for at least 10 years. The reasoning behind the shorter-than-normal deal is that the club isn't using public funds for construction and they are buying the land and will pay taxes to the city, which the city will actually profit from. Compared to over $1 billion that was committed in public funds to the Amway Center where the Orlando Magic play, this deal is very favorable for the city. The Magic's deal keeps them in Orlando for 25 years.

Orlando Pride teammates square off in Australia's W-League Final

They may be teammates for the upcoming 2016 NWSL season, but Steph Catley and Jasmyne Spencer will be representing Melbourne (note: proper Australian pronunciation is closer to Mel-bin) City FC and Sydney FC, respectively, Sunday in the Westfield W-League 2016 Grand Final. Catley recently gave an interview to Melbourne City FC's YouTube page previewing the final.

Moya Dodd is trying to increase the representation of women in FIFA's decision making process.

You'll be stunned to learn that FIFA only has one woman out of 25 voting members on its congress. What's that? You're not? I can't possibly imagine why. Australia's Moya Dodd is trying to change that number to six out of 37, which is still a paltry sample of representation but is nonetheless a noticeable improvement over only having one. When you stop to realize that it was only as recently as 1990 that FIFA even recognized women's soccer, you realize how much further we have to go for women in the world's most popular sport.
