Say hello to another day and another edition of Lion Links! With the start of a new MLS season, we are already up and running as we wait eagerly for Friday's match against the Chicago Fire, where we will see Antonio Nocerino's debut. But in the meantime, let's catch up with some links.
Nocerino Set for His Debut Against Chicago Fire
Former AC Milan midfielder Antonio Nocerino is expected to grace the Citrus Bowl’s field for the first time on Friday against Chicago Fire. The Italian was presented to the crowd prior the Lions’ opener against RSL last Sunday. Meanwhile, captain Kaká is set to miss his second consecutive fixture due to his thigh strain, and he’ll be joined by Darwin Cerén on the sidelines as he serves his one-match ban following his sending off in the opener.
A New Addition for the Pride
After announcing its preseason dates, the Orlando Pride has officially announced the acquisition of Australia Women's National Team defender Laura Alleway ahead of its debut NWSL season. Fresh from her Olympic qualification with the Matildas, Alleway was praised by her new coach Tom Sermanni, who described her as a rock-solid defender who will bring lot of experience at the back.

Jermaine Jones Set to Embark on a New Adventure
U.S. international Jermaine Jones is set to embark on a new adventure with the Colorado Rapids following his signing last week. Despite having to serve six-match ban following his sending off in the 2015 MLS postseason against D.C. United, Jones looks thrilled for this new adventure, as he has shown on his Instagram profile.
Tony Cascio Signs for Arizona United SC
Former Orlando City man Tony Cascio has embarked on a new adventure of his own with Arizona United SC in the United Soccer League. Cascio made his professional debut in Major League Soccer with the Rapids back in 2012, and last year he was part of Orlando City's first-ever MLS roster, but unfortunately he never appeared as he had to stay on the sidelines for around six months due to a long-term back injury.
USWNT U-17s Triumph in WWC Qualification Group
The United States Under-17 Women's National Team has topped its 2016 CONCACAF U-17 Women's Championship following a 2-0 victory over Costa Rica to set up a semifinal encounter against Canada, which will be played on Friday (Live on Fox Soccer Plus). First half goals from Alexa Spaanstra and Ashley Sanchez were enough for the young girls to keep their hopes of attaining a World Cup berth alive.
Another Case Related to FIFA Scandal
A new case regarding the ongoing FIFA scandal has popped up, as a Colombian soccer consultant and match agent, Miguel Trujillo, who was once linked with FIFA, pleaded guilty to money laundering and wire fraud conspiracy before the federal court on Tuesday. Other charges were added to him as well, which could lead to a prison sentence of more than 60 years.
