Good Monday morning to you, Mane Landers. I hope everyone is bright-eyed after the late night victory at the Citrus Bowl. If not, coffee works for me. Back to what matters, my MLS fantasy team. I totally made the wrong choice on having Giovinco as my captain. I need to make up some serious ground or try to get a transfer to improve my team. But, anyway, back to today's links.
Orlando City Chops Down Timbers
Last night, the Lions put together their most complete game of the season in a 4-1 win over the Portland Timbers. Here is all the game coverage you need from last night, with more to come later this morning:

Abby Wambach Arrested, Issues Apology
Sunday morning started off with some bad news, as American soccer icon Abby Wambach was arrested in Portland for driving under the influence of intoxicants. Later in the day, Wambach took to Facebook to address the news and apologized for the incident. Hopefully, this matter get resolved in a timely manner. I don't believe this should take away from the work Abby is trying to accomplish since retiring from professional sports, although we are certainly not condoning driving while intoxicated. Glass houses, people. Let's keep that in mind.
Chad Johnson's Soccer Dream
Anyone remember a few weeks back, when Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson was talking about how he could play in MLS? The former NFL receiver who tried out for Sporting Kansas City back in 2011 finally came clean to TMZ on his future in MLS. I’m glad we have that on the record and the talk of retired pro athletes crossing into soccer can now be put to bed.
FIFA Doing FIFA Things
Cleaning house in FIFA wasn’t expected to be easy. However, being the FIFA ethics watchdog comes with the expectation that, well, you know, you have to be ethical. Turns out this could be easier said than done. A report citing leaked documents revealed Juan Pedro Damiani, a member of FIFA’s Independent Ethics Committee, had some business ties to people listed in the FBI’s FIFA corruption investigation. I know it takes a while to turn a cruise ship around, so let’s hope we’re almost at the end of these types of news stories.
