Orlando City Gets a Slight Break from PRO Officials

The 2016 MLS Season has been littered with referee errors, including several against Orlando City. On Saturday night, the Lions might have finally got on the right side of a bad decision from the assistant referee. Soccer Photogrammetry (@OffsideModeling) is a twitter account that uses 2-D photos and creates 3-D model to decipher whether someone is offside or not. Here is what they said in regards to Cyle Larin's second goal of the night.

Looks like the assistant referee either missed it or erred on the side of attacking soccer. Either way, Orlando City supporters will take it after so many calls and non-calls have gone the other way this year.

U.S. National Team defeats Puerto Rico

In a Copa America Centenario tune-up (sort of, albeit with a bit of a different lineup than will play in the tournament), he U.S. Men’s National Team defeated 152nd-ranked Puerto Rico, 3-1. Tim Ream, Bobby Wood, and Paul Arriola all found the back of the net for the Yanks. Jurgen Klinsmann had to field an unusual team that featured no MLS or players taking part the Liga MX playoffs for this one, so a lot of the familiar names were missing. Get the full recap here.

Luis Suarez injured as Barcelona Completes Domestic Double

F.C. Barcelona was able to complete the Spanish Double after winning the Copa del Rey against Europa League champion Sevilla. The game featured two red cards and a possible injury to Luis Suarez puts his participation in Copa America Centenario in jeopardy. Here is a full recap via our friends over at Barca Blaugranes.
