USA vs. Argentina 2016 Copa América: How to Watch, TV Info, Live Stream, Preview and More

Welcome to your live thread for tonight's U.S. Men's National Team match-up against Argentina. The Yanks find themselves in the semifinals of the 2016 Copa América Centenario and are coming off a thrilling 2-1 victory over Ecuador.

The U.S. has not played Argentina since 2011, and the team will have to play without three starters due to yellow card accumulation and one red card. Alejandro Bedoya, Bobby Wood and Jermaine Jones will all miss tonight’s match. Expect Darlington Nagbe, Christian Pulisic, and Graham Zusi to get the starts in their places or potentially Kyle Beckerman in for Jones.

Argentina has looked to be the favorite so far in this tournament and is coming off a 4-1 thrashing of Venezuela in its quarterfinal match-up. Superstar Lionel Messi leads the way for the Argentinians, but Gonzalo Higuaín and Ángel Di María are not to be overlooked as well. If that wasn't enough already for the Americans to handle, Sergio Agüero and Ezequiel Lavezzi are two more attacking options off the bench for Argentina who have yet to make their mark on this tournament.

The U.S. center back pairing of John Brooks and Geoff Cameron has been spectacular so far this tournament and will have to put in another A+ performance if the U.S. is to get the victory tonight.

In the attacking department for the U.S., Clint Dempsey has been the hero so far. Dempsey got the Yanks’ opening goal against Ecuador in the quarterfinals and will surely be at the heart of any attacking moves against Argentina tonight.

In goal, Brad Guzan has had very solid outings throughout the tournament, only conceding three goals so far — all off set pieces. Guzan will surely be tested tonight, but if the Aston Villa shot stopper can keep Argentina at bay, the U.S. has a shot in this one.

The Yanks are looking for their first finals appearance in Copa América. Getting there on home soil would be an amazing feat and U.S. fans will not want to miss this semifinal.
