Happy Thursday everyone, Brad here per usual to give you your food and drink pairing. So, Orlando City plays Toronto and tonight the Pride face the Houston Dash. I’ve already mentioned Texas BBQ a few times here and the only thing I can really think of when I think of Toronto and food is pancakes with maple syrup (Leafs suck, go Habs).

So, one thing that’s sweeping the internet is pancakes made in rice cookers. Only, instead of traditional flapjacks, they turn out something looking more like a cake. Take a look for yourself. So, while wine and pancakes sounds like either a culinary adventure or the saddest dinner you’ll eat alone, I’m not entirely sure how to incorporate Houston as far as beverage selections go, so, next closest thing is Austin. Tito’s and Big Red is basically a bubblegum martini, so…that. Your food and drink pairing is pancakes with vodka and cream soda. I’m so sorry, y’all.

Anyway, on to the news!

Orlando City and San Jose to Auction off Jerseys for Charity

While last weekend’s match may not have given Orlando the optimal result after an emotional week, the club still hasn’t lost at home and will now be auctioning off not only the jerseys used last Saturday night, but also those of the San Jose Quakes. The proceeds of the auction will go towards the Pulse Nightclub shooting victims via the OneOrlando fund. In addition, USMNT captain Michael Bradley is auctioning off his jersey and rainbow armband from the U.S. men’s 2-0 victory over Ecuador.

Jurgen Klinsmann Says the USMNT Could Feel Argentina was Better

So, if a 4-0 loss wasn’t enough to tell you that another team is better than you are and the fact that they boast the best player in the world among their ranks, USMNT coach Jurgen Klinsmann said that after the first goal the American players just had some kind of sense that position-by-position, Argentina was better than they were. Missing several key players probably makes a difference, but, probably only enough so that the score line wasn’t as bad.

Ali Kreiger Shares her Thoughts on NWSL’s Orlando Tribute

After the Washington Spirit’s 2-0 win over the Orlando Pride, several members of the Spirit were asked about the match and the emotions surrounding it. One notable member of the Spirit, Ali Kreiger, shared hers.

PRO Says Move Along, Nothing to See Here

So, uh, FC Dallas was robbed of a goal. This is known. PRO, however, would like you to know that being an official is really, really hard and that the officials working the match should be absolved of any blame on that play. PRO Training & Development Manager Paul Rejer is “Delighted that they did not guess.” Which, I guess if you’re setting the bar that low on an obvious goal, says more about the quality of officiating than it does your personal feelings in regards to how the play unfolded. If you ever feel like PRO are just the worst, at least they haven’t sent off anyone for farting.

#KeepDancingOrlando

Some Orlando Pride players show up in this video encouraging Orlando to heal through the power of dance.
