Good Sunday morning you crazy cats and welcome back to the Church of Lion. Can I get an amen from my editor? Maybe?

So, you have your phones dimmed and you're ready to read. But man, are those pews uncomfortable. Well luckily for you, I did some market research and found these beauties! If you got yourself one, you'd be the envy of all your friends and neighbors — trust me.

On to the Links!

Kaká Strikes in 100th Minute to Beat Toronto FC

So, how many people thought the game was going to end in a draw again? Well thanks to Julio Baptista's effort very late in stoppage, Orlando City comes away with three points and a 3-2 win, courtesy of a Kaká penalty kick. Once again, the very end of the game proved to be the difference as three goals were scored after about the 80th minute. Let's not pretend OCSC didn't need this one. Here's your required reading:

And we'll have ongoing coverage of the match later this morning so check back with The Mane Land.

Orlando Pride Jerseys for Auction

Much like the men's team, the Pride are auctioning off these shirts signed by the team, featuring the #OrlandoUnited symbol. I have to commend the soccer teams for everything they are doing for the community. If you want to get in on the bidding action, here's the link to the website.

USMNT vs Colombia

Colombia struck first and made it count as they beat the United States Men’s National Team 1-0 for third place at the Copa America. The game was chippy, ending with Michael Orozco and Santiago Arias getting sent off in stoppage time. The Americans have to feel like they let some chances slip away, and instead of finishing this tournament on a high note, it ends in defeat.

Questions are many after this – was fourth place a surprise or disappointment? Is the direction Jurgen Klinnsman is taking the team the right one? Personally, I think fourth place is a realistic finish and, going forward, the team can build off of this.

Sad News From Ohio State Soccer

OSU soccer player Fikayo Idowa passed away on Saturday. The defender was a redshirt sophomore who played two games last year and was planning on attending medical school after graduation. Ohio State didn't say how he passed, but the 19-year-old reportedly drowned at Apple Valley Lake on Friday. Our hearts and prayers are with his family and friends.

Your Euro 2016 Update

Wales, Poland and Portugal advanced with wins yesterday. Hey, Cristiano Ronaldo made it through to the next round! Portugal came away with a 1-0 victory over Croatia but needed extra time to do it. Ricardo Quaresma put home a Ronaldo rebound at the 117th minute to secure the victory. Portugal will play Poland next, as the Poles advanced on penalties against a Swiss side that seemed the better side.

And Wales continues its run in the Euro with a 1-0 win over Northern Ireland. Another Gareth scored the only goal, but for Gareth McAuley, that was an own-goal that sends Wales on. Wales will play the winner of the Hungary and Belgium game tomorrow.

That's it for today's Links! Tune in later today for even more soccer greatness, as the Pride host the Thorns at 5 p.m. and Orlando City B plays at FC Montreal in O Canada at 3 p.m. Good luck to both teams!

Praise be to the Lion!
