Good Monday morning, Mane Landers. This is a short week to get over what's been going on with our beloved Lions, as they travel Red Bull Arena for a midweek match. Times They Are A Changin’ for the Lions

We all know Orlando City will be going through a major change with former head coach Adrian Heath no longer a part of the organization. Long-time observer of the club Simon Veness wrote a piece for The Guardian discussing the change in mentality with the team as Orlando City looks to grow into an international club with a greater influence beyond Central Florida. It’s certainly worth a read to get an understanding on where perhaps the club is looking to go.

Orlando Pride Roar Back to Win

Soccer action continued Sunday night at the Campground with the Pride clashing against the Boston Breakers…after the rain stopped falling. The rain might be one of the factors to the announced attendance of 5,842. The rain delayed the start but it didn’t hamper Orlando, which was playing without any of its international players. However, a mistake by new goalkeeper Kaitlyn Savage allowed the Breakers an early lead. The second half played out like an Orlando City match as the team turned it on late and Kristen Edmonds bagged a brace to lift the home team over Boston, 2-1. Orlando City B Grabs Point on the Road

So, if you haven’t been watching Orlando City B matches in USL play, you should be. The team has come together after a slow start to get enough points for a playoff push. Yesterday, OCB went to Western New York to take on the Rochester Rhinos. As our own Sean Rollins reported, the undermanned baby Lions fought hard to bring a point back to Florida with a 0-0 draw. The Orlando faithful need to get behind all of the clubs; there’s lots of soccer to support.

Host France Falls in Euros Final

I just wanted it known I didn’t want France to win the Euros. I was happy to see France fail to take advantage of an early injury to Cristiano Rolando and concede a goal 109’ into the match. So, Portugal wins and all is right in the world. Additionally, sportsmanship ruled the day, right? Well, I guess the majority of the French players missed the memo. The French players weren’t able hide their disappointment by removing their second place medals as soon as they were placed around their necks.
