Welcome back to another Friday edition of Lion Links! As always, we have a slew of entertaining links — sometimes Orlando City related, sometimes not — to keep you from doing whatever you should be doing this morning. Here at The Mane Land it's all about encouraging that little voice in your head that says you should watch another 45 YouTube videos of people getting kicked in the face by kangaroos (I may or may not have done this).

Now on to your links…

Orlando City vs. Colorado Preview

In what is a great bit of content, our very own Michael Citro was interviewed by fellow SB Nation blog Burgundy Wave ahead of Orlando City’s clash with Colorado at the weekend. Michael is our managing editor here at The Mane Land, and when he’s not yelling at me for not turning things in on time, he’s working extremely hard and making great content for the site. Have a look here, because the ensuing conversation is worth a read.

Highlighting Molino

It’s no secret to Orlando City fans that Kevin Molino has been quite an important figure for the Lions this year. His ability to impact the game from an offensive standpoint has accrued MVP attention, but not everyone knows that. Kaká to Speak at Liberty U

Orlando City's captain and global star will be featured as a speaker at Liberty University on Sept. 21, 2016. We can only assume Ricky has been called upon to drop wisdom on college-aged kids like he drops assists on the pitch, and he's among a lineup of speakers that includes other athletes such as Joe Theismann and Tim Tebow.

DPs and How They've Changed MLS

MLS has long been subject to the notion that it is a retirement league for aging European stars looking to make a quick buck before they're too old to kick it around and get paid anymore. However, in the past few years, this claim has become less and less legitimate with more able-bodied professionals making a bigger impact on the league. Read more.

MLS Interest on the Downturn?

The recent explosion of soccer interest in the United States has seen the advent of many new advertising campaigns, as well as a slew of MLS-oriented marketing strategies being green-lighted by marketing companies. Soccer is taking hold of the states…or is it? A more expansive look into the numbers may provide some more info.

That's it for all of us here at The Mane Land! Apologies for the lack of kangaroo-related videos, you can find those yourself. Have a good one.
