Good Morning, Lions fans! Welcome to this Wednesday edition of Lion Links. With the NWSL and USL seasons winding down, Orlando soccer news is beginning to dwindle, signaling the end of another season here in Central Florida. Former Orlando City Goalkeeper Joins Police

Tally Hall, former goalkeeper for Orlando City, has officially left soccer to become an Orlando Police officer. He will begin the academy on Sept. 26 and is expected to be serving our city some time next year. He began pondering this decision back when he was playing with Orlando, and he had many conversations with the officers that serve our city and felt like this was his calling.

"It just felt like I had a calling to serve and that calling isn't being met when you are playing soccer," Hall said. "[…] I felt like I was going to be happier and and my family was going to be happier and be able to stay together."

This is not the first thought of service for Hall, either. While playing in Houston for the Dynamo he contemplated joining the military, but felt it was not the right time for him or his family. Now it seems as if he has found his calling.

Kaylyn Kyle Pokes Fun at Lisa De Vanna

Lats month at the Rio Olympics, Lisa De Vanna made headlines for something other than soccer. A GIF circulated of her improperly attempting to drink out of a water bottle.

Upon her return to the NWSL and Orlando, De Vanna began to catch some flack from her teammates, including defender Kaylyn Kyle, which prompted her to take this picture properly showing how to drink water.

The Pride are having some fun as their season prepares to wrap up.

According to Sarah Hagen, Orlando Pride Have it All

For many soccer fans, Sarah Hagen is not the most well-known player on the roster. But for Orlando Pride fans, she is our beloved, quirky, quiet forward — the fresh legs when Alex Morgan grows tired. Earlier this week, Hagen was interviewed by FIFA about her experience with the Pride this past season. Hagen was brought to Orlando by Tom Sermanni, a man who gave her two caps for the national team, and she has nothing but praise for him and her teammates.

"I have never been on a team where the owners talk to you on a weekly basis. Our owners do a great job of making you feel as important as the men’s team and make sure everyone feels involved. And I think our fans appreciate their support within the community. This has definitely been the most positive experience I have had."

Pulisic Earns Bundesliga Honor

U.S. Men's National Team starlet Christian Pulisic is turning heads for Borussia Dortmund early in the Bundesliga season. The 18-year-old had himself quite a week, registering a goal and two assists, and was named the Bundesliga Player of the Week for the third match day of the campaign.

Hopefully it's the first of many honors for the young midfielder.
