Orlando City SC Stock Watch: Few Bright Spots as Lions Fall Again

Orlando City has lost the last two matches by a combined score of 8-2. It isn’t fun finding players who have their stock “rising” after such dreadful performances.

We all expect more from this club. I know they expect more from themselves, as well, but this was a difficult loss under even worse circumstances. Let's see how the stock watch responds.

Rising

Kevin Molino – The Original is the man. In a game full of garbage performances, Molino’s effort and physicality stood out in purple. He played a good cross that almost went for a goal, and completed 90.2% of his passes. His work rate was really through the roof, as he tallied up a game-high five tackles as an attacking midfielder.

Júlio Baptista – Bringing fresh legs into the match just after the hour mark, Baptista made the most of his time with his physicality at and near the top of the formation. He took only one shot on the night, but it was a thing of beauty.

Bar down, the Solar Bears would be proud.

Falling

David Mateos – Really struggled in this one, offering no resistance to the third goal while letting passes bounce around the box with similar ease. Just two interceptions and zero aerials won, this was a forgettable night for David.

Antonio Nocerino – While Nocerino wasn’t dreadful on the pitch, getting tossed was a grievous mistake for a club already struggling to stay afloat. Showed a really bad touch, and couldn’t keep himself from elbowing the opponent and being sent to the locker room.
