PawedCast Episode 69: Philadelphia Union Review and D.C. United Preview

Without the pressure of a playoff race, Jason Kreis was able to freely take a look at his young fullbacks and change the formation of the team. It worked. Orlando City went into Philadelphia and came away with a 2-0 victory over the Union, collecting just the club's third road victory of the year. Carlos Rivas and Julio Baptista provided the offense and Joe Bendik and his back line took care of the clean sheet. We break that down for you in the absence of our usual host (sick this week), with Austin and Andrew taking control of the cast this week.

The Lions will close out the season this Sunday at Camping World Stadium against D.C. United, and we looked ahead to that 2016 finale on the broadcast as well. In addition, Orlando City will host an alumni game with some ex-USL Lions as well as some players from former pro soccer teams from Orlando suiting up against ex-Rowdies.

Here's how it happened:

0:00- Recapping the win at Philly, a detailed discussion of Carlos Rivas and Orlando's Designated Player slots.

17:30- Rafael Ramos and Mikey Ambrose played fullback on Sunday. We take a look at the two young fullbacks.

23:00- Throwback Day and the Orlando City Alumni Game.

31:00- A look ahead to D.C. United in the season finale. They're a dangerous team and we discuss why. Also, our score predictions!

We'll be back next week to wrap up the season-ending match against D.C. and look ahead to the long, dark off-season.
