Orlando City B vs. Toronto FC II: Match Preview and How to Watch

Orlando City B (0-2-0, 0 points) continues its search for its first victory of 2017 tonight against Toronto FC II (1-1-0, 3 points) at Orlando City Stadium. It’s been a less-than-stellar start to the 2017 United Soccer League campaign for Orlando City B, which dropped its second consecutive match last Thursday, falling 3-1 to Louisville City FC.

Tonight’s match will offer the young Lions another chance to win at their new home. Toronto FC II will play its second match in four days and is coming off a 4-0 loss to the Tampa Bay Rowdies. The club did win its first match of the season against Phoenix Rising by a final score of 1-0.

Offensively, TFC II struggled on Saturday as it only produced one shot on goal. Ryan Telfer has scored the only goal of the season for the club, and Tsubasa Endoh has produced the most shots with three.

“[Toronto FC II] certainly have some very good attacking players. We watched the last two games, they played at Phoenix where they had five or six MLS guys with them and they performed really well that night,” OCB Head Coach Anthony Pulis said. “We need to be at our best if we’re going to cause them some problems. ”

Rookie Brandon Aubrey has been a bright spot in the TFC II defense and will be a key player to watch on Tuesday. He’s played the full 90 minutes in his first two appearances.

OCB has yet to have a player record a goal, as the lone score against Louisville was an own-goal. Michael Cox leads the club in shots after two matches, with three.

Four players made their debuts for OCB last Thursday, including Leo Pereira and Ben Polk.

Goalkeeper Earl Edwards Jr. has been playing well and has made nine saves in two matches. He has been the best player for the team thus far. The defense has struggled to provide the help he needs, as OCB has been out-shot in both of its opening fixtures.

Last season, the two clubs split the season series, with both ending in 2-1 results.

Last Week's Lineups

OCB: Earl Edwards Jr; Leo Pereira, Conor Donovan, Zach Carroll, Kevin Alston; Pierre Da Silva, Lewis Neal, Austin Martz; Michael Cox, Ben Polk

TFC II: Mark Pais; Jason Hernandez, Brandon Aubrey, Lars Eckenrode; Tsubasa Endoh, Luca Uccello, Brian James, Liam Fraser, Anthony Osorio; Ryan Telfer, Ben Spencer
