Merry Monday morning, Mane Landers! I don’t know about you, but I’m definitely not getting sick of all the winning. It was another match, and another win for Orlando City Sunday afternoon. It was a good weekend to be an Orlando City fan with wins from the OCSC and OCB, and a Pride draw.

A win away from the Fortress was the next step that Orlando City needed to make this season. A hard fought win against an Eastern Conference foe shows the Lions that they can take care of business anywhere. It certainly seems that the personnel changes and formation implemented by Jason Kreis have the Lions on the right track.

Orlando City Wins at NYCFC

The Lions went into Yankee Stadium and came away with all three points thanks to a brace from Cyle Larin. The team defended and attacked as one unit, and Joe Bendik had several key saves to preserve the win.

Check back later today for more news from yesterday’s win, including our five takeaways from the match.

Cyle Larin Enjoys New York City

In seven games at New York City FC and New York Red Bulls, Cyle Larin has scored 10 goals (watch them all at that link). If he keeps it up, the state of New York might try to pass a law barring Larin from traveling there. Or they might just start referring to him as “Kyle Larron.”

No Feelings of Revenge From Kreis After Win

Jason Kreis said there was no personal revenge involved after defeating his former club in Yankee Stadium. Although Orlando City has beaten NYCFC twice since Kreis took over, yesterday marked Kreis’ first win against his ex-bosses in New York.

But having already beaten New York in the past, the satisfaction of besting NYCFC has waned considerably for the Orlando City head coach. However, Kreis didn’t shy away from pointing out that he knows Yankee Stadium like the back of his hand and had a strong game plan against Patrick Vieira’s side.

Orlando City B Victorious over Bethlehem Steel

OCB headed out to Lehigh University to take on Bethlehem Steel FC in the third and final game of a road trip. Despite early chances from both teams, the first half ended 0-0. OCB goalkeeper Earl Edwards Jr. made several excellent saves to keep a clean sheet. The second half was a different story with Richie Laryea scoring a brace to give the young Lions all three points. Sean Rollins has your match recap.

Weatherholt Making an Impact for Pride

Midfielder Dani Weatherholt has been making quite an impact in her second year for the Pride. Weatherholt proved her fitness level with both the Pride and the U-23 National Team. She’s doing all the little things the Pride need, and doing it for a full 90 minutes. When other players are getting tired, Dani still has plenty of fuel in the tank.

Orlando City Youths Win FYSA Soccer Commissioners Cup

Congratulations are in order for the Orlando City Youth squad on a 4-1 win over Weston FC for the FYSA Soccer Commissioners Cup.

That’s going to do it for today. Enjoy a week full of purple goodness following a fantastic weekend’s results.
