Merry Monday morning, Mane Landers! Quite a match against Montreal on Saturday night, eh? Fortunately, the Lions were able to get a point, and it was a hard-earned point at that. There’s plenty going on this week, with two Orlando City games, an Orlando Pride match, and two OCB matches. Hope you’re ready for some soccer! Let’s get to the Links.

Orlando City Draws with Montreal

Our own Sean Rollins provided the five takeaways from Saturday’s match. While Orlando City had a fantastic first half, and a somewhat less than fantastic second half, the club did finish off strong in stoppage time to save a point in the Purple Palace.

Pride Set a Club Record

Turns out that the 4-2 win wasn’t just any road win. It was the first for the Orlando Pride since May 20, 2016 and it was also the most goals scored by the Pride in their history. The brace from Marta was key of course, but Camila made it three goals from the Brazilians. A goal from Alanna Kennedy set the record, and guess what? The Pride get the Dash at home this weekend. Time to set a new record?

It Seems Alex Missed Orlando

We all felt a little bit bad that Alex Morgan decided to forego the first part of the Orlando Pride’s season to play with Olympique Lyonnais. Well, it turns out that despite helping them win the UEFA Champions League, Alex missed being home in Orlando. It’ll still be a few weeks before she is back on the pitch for the Pride, but just imagine what it will be like with both her and Marta. Yeah.

Pulisic is a Hometown Hero

USMNT wunderkind Christian Pulisic returned to Hershey, PA, where he is a local. He was given a hero’s welcome, though to be fair, he’s an American hero in the soccer world at this point. When asked about which MLS team he likes, it was no surprise he chose the local Philadelphia Union. Fortunately, there’s something we Orlando CIty fans can agree on. When he answered the question, someone shouted “New York Red Bulls,” to which Christian replied, “no.” Well done, young man. Well done.

U.S. National Team has a New Home Kit

The USMNT has new digs, and “My God, it’s full of stars!” If you don’t get that reference, look it up! Regardless, here’s the latest kit:

That’s going to do it for your Links today, but check back later for more coverage of your favorite Orlando teams.
