USA vs. Honduras, World Cup Qualifier: How To Watch, Live Stream, Preview, Match Thread, and More
The United States Men’s National Team will look to rebound on the road after a poor outing in Friday’s 2-0 loss against Costa Rica. With both the USMNT and Honduras tied for third place in the Hex, tonight’s game is important for both sides.
The U.S. has been relying heavily on Jozy Altidore but will have to make do without the Toronto striker. Altidore picked up a second yellow card in the qualifier at Red Bull Arena on Friday and is suspended for tonight’s match. Additionally, Paul Arriola, Alejandro Bedoya, Matt Besler, Michael Bradley, Geoff Cameron, and Clint Dempsey are one card away from suspension.
Dempsey will most likely come in for Altidore, after starting the previous game on the bench. Deuce is still tied with Landon Donovan for most goals in USMNT history and will look to finally break away and take the record for himself.
Honduras managed a 2-1 win against Trinidad and Tobago on Friday, but because of its -7 goal differential, it’s currently behind the U.S. Although the Yanks are 16-4-4 all-time against Honduras, and 6-2-1 in qualifiers, Los Catrachos will be looking to play spoilers and move into sole possession of third place in the Hex with a win.

Match Thread Rules
This is your live thread for posting comments on the match. So use our comments section below to talk about the game in real time with other supporters. If you're new, welcome to our happy home! While you're here, please observe a few basic rules:
- Absolutely no links to illegal streams. They can get us in trouble, and no one wants that.
- Try not to be "that guy" who spews nothing but venom and hate for the team. It's OK to be critical, and, let's face it, sometimes even the best teams can be frustrating to watch, but being overly negative relentlessly can sap the enjoyment for others.
- Keep it somewhat clean and fair when criticizing players / officials. You never know who might be reading.
- Do unto others in the match thread, the way you would have others do unto you. We are a fun community and want to keep it this way. We have a moderator, but we'd rather let him enjoy the game instead of having to play babysitter.
Enjoy the match!
