Good morning, Mane Landers! It’s Wednesday and we’re one day closer to the weekend. Let’s not waste any time and jump right into the links I’ve gathered for you from around the soccer world.

Orlando Pride Claim Logarzo off Re-Entry Wire

In case you missed it, the Orlando Pride selected Australian international midfielder Chloe Logarzo off of the NWSL Re-entry Wire. The Australian played 15 matches with the Washington Spirit after joining the club in February of this year. While the Pride own Logarzo’s league rights, that doesn’t mean she will wear a Pride jersey next season. Should we see her in 2020, it’s possible that she’ll have Emily van Egmond and Alanna Kennedy, her fellow Matildas, to help her get acclimated although they will likely all be gone for the Olympics. Four other players were selected by Utah Royals FC and the Spirit off the NWSL Re-entry Wire as well.

U.S. Will Host Concacaf Women’s Olympic Qualifying

The 2020 Concacaf Women’s Olympic qualifying tournament will be held here in the United States and Concacaf will unveil the host cities during a drawing tomorrow in Miami. The United States Women’s National Team has won the last four qualifying tournaments and in the most recent one in 2016 it had a strong shutout win in its 2-0 final win over Canada.

Pulisic Sets a New Record

Christian Pulisic broke the all-time record for appearances in the Champions League for Americans when he featured for the 24th time. The 21-year-old drew an important penalty for Chelsea, aiding in the 4-4 draw against Ajax after trailing for most of the game. Pulisic has one more match this weekend with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge before the expected trip for the United States Men’s National Team’s upcoming matches.

Save the Date

The Orlando City Foundation has set a date for its annual SoccerBall event. The event will take place Feb. 22, 2020 at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. This year’s edition featured tons of dancing, a silent auction, and a chance to meet some Orlando City and Pride players. Ticket information for the 21-and-over event will become available at a later time so make sure to keep an eye out.

Free Kicks

That’s going to do it for me this morning, Mane Landers. I’m heading to a conference to close out my week and I’m hoping you all have a smooth and safe ending to yours!
