Good morning, Mane Landers, or as my assistant principal says every Thursday, “Happy Friday eve!” I hope this morning finds you well and enjoying the little things in life. Let’s go ahead and jump right into the links.

Kit Reveals

Orlando City’s new away kit has officially been revealed. In a surprising turn of events, it’s identical to what we saw leaked last week. The Heart & Sol away kit features a purple sun radiating from the crest on the chest.

“In everything we do, we look for inspiration in our fan culture and local community” said Orlando City SC Senior VP of Marketing and Brand Pedro Franklin de Araujo. “Our fans’ devotion to our club is a great source of inspiration and a constant reminder of who we do this for.”

This funny bit of promo material has fans changing from Miami to Ft. Lauderdale on the GPS.

All 26 club kits were revealed in New York City as part of the kickoff for the league’s 25th season. You can pre-order the kit now. And here are some of the guys sporting the new look:

The USWNT and USMNT also launched new kits yesterday. The USWNT will debut the new, dark blue kit when the team takes on England right here in Orlando. The men will wear their new kits during the two-match European tour.

Wrapping up Camp with Júnior Urso

Orlando City’s Jenny Chiu spoke with Júnior Urso as their time in Mexico came to an end.

“We worked very hard everyday. So I hope we can prove in the games what we made here,” Urso stated. “The team is really good. They give me support every time. I’m very happy. They are my friends, not just team.”

Alex Morgan at USWNT Training

The USWNT is training in California for Friday’s Concacaf semifinal match against Mexico and fans were surprised to see Alex Morgan at training. Surprisingly, Morgan doesn’t seem to be receiving as much backlash for training at seven months pregnant as Leroux did at six months.

Sydney Leroux Speaks at Here for Her Summit

The Orlando Pride’s Sydney Leroux spoke at Dick’s Sporting Good’s Here for Her summit. The new initiative aims to champion women and girls in 2020.

“It is very hard for a woman to be a mother and then come back and play. I spend more on babysitters and nannies than I make the entire year playing,” Leroux said at the summit.

Free Kicks

  • The Orlando Pride social media team took a moment to shout out National Girls and Women in Sports Day.
  • Former Lion, Jamie Watson, is leaving Minnesota to join Nashville SC’s broadcasting team.

That’s going to do it for me this morning, Mane Landers. Have a great rest of the week and stay safe!
