Pride Sign Jade Moore

The Orlando Pride announced yesterday that they’ve acquired English midfielder Jade Moore from Reading FC of England’s FA Women’s Super League.

“Simply put, Jade is the complete midfielder,” Pride Head Coach Marc Skinner said. “She possesses a great skill to travel quickly in small spaces, control the pace of the game, and her ability to not only read the game well but destroy attacks before they start will bring a much needed dynamic to our midfield. We’re very excited to bring her into the club and look forward to seeing her in purple when we get back to play.”

COVID-19 hits MLS

The first confirmed case of coronavirus has reached Major League Soccer as a player for the Philadelphia Union has tested positive. The player was not named.

“The Union medical staff has been working directly with Crozer-Keystone Health System medical officials to treat the player who experienced mild symptoms and is feeling well and in good spirits,” the team said in a statement. “The player is observing appropriate isolation protocols. No other cases or symptoms within Philadelphia Union soccer operations have been identified at this time.”

USMNT’s Tyler Adams Staying Positive

It seems like for the most part people are taking this pandemic seriously and staying home. Much like the rest of us, United States Men’s National Team’s Tyler Adams is home trying to help flatten the curve and is working to stay upbeat and positive through all of this.

“Family to me is always the most important thing. These circumstances haven’t changed how I stay in contact with any of them. My three brothers and my parents are very close to me. We talk via FaceTime almost every day, and I talk to my brothers on a daily basis, playing video games with them in the downtime that we have right now, and playing some games, whether it’s online or something like that….I talk to my parents every day via FaceTime, text, and obviously there’s a lot to talk about right now!”
