Blackout Tuesday

In support of protests around the world, several organizations and individuals participated in Blackout Tuesday. Major League Soccer shared resources to help followers listen, learn, and support, while many Lions took the opportunity to share their support, as did the club itself.

Orlando Pride Postpone Kit Reveal

The Orlando Pride were set to reveal the club’s new away kit yesterday, but decided to postpone in support of protesters around the world. Information on the rescheduled event will be shared at a later date. The club has been teasing small elements leading up to the reveal, including what appear to be swan feathers.

MLS Owners Have Reportedly Backed Down

It has been reported that MLS has backed off having force majeure tied to attendance. This comes shortly after the league-wide move of players staying home from training sessions.

Austin FC Wants to Host Large Soccer Events

Austin FC has submitted a bid to host games for the 2021 Concacaf Gold Cup and for the 2022-2025 men’s and women’s NCAA College Cup tournaments. The bid assumes that the club’s stadium will be complete in time.
