Greetings, Mane Landers. I hope your week is flying right on by in a fashion similar to mine. Hump day has come and gone, and now it’s time for the better half the seven-day trek. Before venturing into the second half, however, let’s get right into the links.

Daryl Dike Scores First Goal for Barnsley

Orlando City striker Daryl Dike scored his first goal for Barnsley against Stoke City. The 20-year-old came on as a substitute against the Potters. The composed finish helped his side seal a 2-0 victory yesterday.

Barnsley now sits eighth in the Championship table, just one point off a playoff spot in the hunt for Premier League promotion. Dike his Barnsley teammates next play against Millwall at home this Saturday. One may wonder if Dike will be rewarded with more match time, or maybe even a start for his impressive goal on Wednesday come the next match. Dike was understandably excited about scoring his first goal in England.

Jonathan Suarez Suspended by MLS During Investigation

Orlando City on-loan defender Jonathan Suarez has been suspended by MLS after being arrested on Tuesday night due to sexual battery allegations. MLS is currently awaiting more information before making any further decisions with regards to the player. The suspension is standard protocol in this situation.

Morgan was one of five different goal scorers on the night for the United States. The team had a truly phenomenal tournament. Also, it is worth noting that Exploria Stadium may have something to do with the recent successes of the side. The record speaks for itself.

Marta and Brazil Best Jordyn Listro and Canada

She pestered the Canadian defense with relentless pressure, and was a major helping hand in the goal for Julia Bianchi. Jordyn Listro did not start for Canada, however, she was subbed on in the 46 minute. Her addition did not quite help Bev Priestman’s side get anything out of the match, but she did bring some impressive passing to the field once brought on.

Listro spoke about getting her first cap with Canada:

That’s all for this Thursday’s set of links. Have a good rest of your week. I’ll catch you next time around.
