The Orlando Pride have announced their preseason schedule ahead of the 2024 NWSL season. Unlike the last two seasons, when the club had an open preseason game for fans to attend, all six games this year will be behind closed doors. The schedule begins on Feb. 15, concludes on March 8, and includes a week in Bradenton, three NWSL games, and three scrimmages against Florida universities.

The Pride will begin their preseason training on Jan. 23 at the Orlando Health Training Ground at Sylvan Lake Park. Shortly after the opening of camp, the team will move to the IMG Academy in Bradenton for a week-long stint. Then the Pride will return home to begin three weeks of scrimmages, including six matches, before beginning the 2024 NWSL regular season.

The schedule this preseason is similar to past years, including NWSL and college opponents. Orlando will open its preseason slate against the North Carolina Courage on Feb. 15. Three days after facing the Courage, the Pride will play the UCF Knights. They’ll face the Kansas City Current of the NWSL on Feb. 24 and the reigning national champion Florida State Seminoles March 2, before facing the Florida Gators March 3 and finishing with the Washington Spirit on March 8.

The last two seasons, the team faced the Kansas City Current at the stadium, providing an opportunity to see the team in action before the regular season. However, they’ve decided to keep the preseason games private this year as they look to improve on a late-season playoff run in 2023 that came up just short.

The NWSL schedule has yet to be released, as the league has to wait for the availability of the venues. However, the season will start the weekend of March 16 and NWSL Commissioner Jessica Berman has said she hopes to have the regular season schedule out by Jan. 31.
