Orlando City Announces FOX 35 as Local TV Partner
The Lions have a new television home.
Today, Orlando City announced a multi-year partnership making FOX 35 and its family of networks the club's exclusive English-language local broadcast home. The agreement provides FOX 35 / WRBW MY65 with telecast rights to all Orlando City regular season and playoff matches not aired by MLS' national television partners.
"This is a landmark day for Orlando City fans," said Lions President and Founder Phil Rawlins in the club's press release. "We look forward to working closely with our partners at FOX 35 to create, not only a first class broadcast for our fans, but additional in-market promotions and opportunities to bring them closer to their Club and the players on the field."
On-air talent was not discussed in Orlando City's press release, so it's unknown at this time who will be calling the games as the club enters MLS in 2015.
"We look forward to working in partnership with the Orlando City Soccer Club," said WOFL/WRBW Vice President and General Manager Allyson Meyers. "Together, we will create the ultimate fan experience across multiple platforms in Orlando."
The Club expects to announce a local radio and Spanish-language television partner in the near future.
