When Orlando City SC announced the signing of Brek Shea, Twitter was taken by storm. I have scoured the twitterverse in search of the best/most clever tweets about Orlando’s newest acquisition.

5. A Moment of Silence for FC Dallas Fans

Orlando City fans are over joyed to have the 24-year-old in their services next year, however FC Dallas supporters will spend much of 2015 cringing each time they see Shea sporting purple.

4. Game of Thrones Look Alike

Brek's unique hair has been a common talking point for most of his career, and has been compared to everything from peacocks to Johnny from the Karate Kid. Now that Shea is a "Lion" it was only a matter of time before Game of Thrones was brought up. But it is not a Lannister he is being compared to, it is the lovely lady from Tarth that shares his likeness.

3. A Pun is Always a Good Idea

O.K. puns are not for everyone, but they are for me…and since I get to make this list, this tweet lands solidly in the number three spot on the list.

2. I'm in Miami…Said No MLS Team Ever

Well except maybe the Fusion.

Even Don Garber doesn't seem to know what's going on with the much talked-about Miami franchise. The MLS-to-Miami narrative has left us all puzzled and here's a nice tongue-in-cheek jab at the whole situation.

A humorous tweet that shows another benefit that Shea brings to the Lions. Orlando City jerseys with the name "Shea" on the back are going to sell like hot cakes. Shea is one of the most marketable players in MLS and will be a huge asset on and off the field.

Honorable Mention:

Not really a fan tweet but still worth sharing. Dax McCarty has always been an active participant on social media and is an overall funny guy. Although the deal to bring Dax to Orlando fell through, he is still certainly worth a follow.
