Lion Links
Lion Links: 12/23/14
It's Tuesday.
Yep, that's all we've got. Simply…it's Tuesday. But at least it's Christmas Eve Eve, which is an underrated holiday that no one but me recognizes. Basically, you celebrate it with a series of well-chilled bottled beer of various styles and nationalities. In full disclosure, this is how I spend every Tuesday night.
But enough about me, this is about you and your Tuesday morning links. Here they are. Enjoy!
You're on the Clock, Society XXI
Orlando City is sending five lucky season ticket holders and a guest apiece to Philadelphia to experience the 2015 MLS SuperDraft. Winners will receive admission to the SuperDraft plus transportation to Philly and accommodations for two days and one night. If you're a season ticket holder, you have until Jan. 9 to register, but don't register so our odds will improve. Winners will be contacted Jan. 10.
Viva Las Vegas!
ICYMI: D.C. United's successful stadium bid wasn't the only one in the last week. Las Vegas has designs on MLS too, and they've already figured out that whole pesky stadium thing.
Dortmund in the Dumps
That smell wafting over from Germany is Borussia Dortmund. The club is not supposed to be anywhere near this bad, but Dortmund is flirting with relegation this season in the Bundesliga. Why?
‘Sup, Hull City?
Heading over to England for a minute, we ask the questoin…is Hull City paying the price for Steve Bruce's inflexibility? SB Nation's Jack Sargeant says yes.
Free Kicks
RIP Joe Cocker. If there's a rock and roll heaven, you know they've got a hell of a band…Merry Christmas Star Trek fans. This is for you…If I ever buy a fish tank, I hope it's this cool…Well, this is what we call a bicycle kick.
We hope you not only have your holiday shopping done, but also your holiday wrapping, which is by far the worst part of the holidays. If you've got any cool links to share, please do so below in our comments section. We leave you with some of Mr. Cocker's great work.
