Turner Plays, U.S. Wins. Coincidence?

Orlando City SC defender Tyler Turner was in the starting lineup for the U-20 USMNT yesterday in Jamaica against Aruba. It was a must-win game for the U.S. in the CONCACAF Championships, after a loss and a draw in the first two matches.

It went well. The United States won 8-0 to get into the win column. Tyler didn't score a goal but he did draw an early foul in the penalty area that led to a spot kick. Romain Gall of the Columbus Crew converted and the U.S. was off and running.

Tyler was understandably happy.

The Sacha Kljestan Chase is On

One sure thing in life is that the rich know how to get richer. So it is with Seattle Sounders FC and the LA Galaxy, who are in the running for the USMNT midfielder. Will it be the Sounders? Will the Galaxy add him but lose Marcelo Sarvas? Someone else? Yesterday’s links were all about Mix Diskerud and Jozy Altidore coming to MLS. Is Kljestan next?

Star-Studded Hall of Fame Class

Brian McBride, Bob Bradley and Kristine Lilly will all be inducted into the United States National Soccer Hall of Fame. The trio of American legends will be in the 2015 class, with their induction set for Feb. 14 at the U.S. Soccer Federation Annual General Meeting in San Francisco.

Edu Officially Transfers to Union

The long rumored permanent transfer from Stoke City to the Philadelphia Union has finally happened and Maurice Edu is now Union property. Edu scored three goals in 31 appearances last year on loan to Philadelphia.

That's all for today. Stay tuned for all the SuperDraft coverage. I leave you now with this incredible goal:
