Orlando City Season Tickets Nearly Sold Out

If you want a season ticket to the inaugural MLS campaign for Orlando City SC, buy it now. Don’t wait. Don’t even sleep on it or you could get shut out.

The club announced today that less than 1,000 season tickets remain in the allotted 14,000 the Lions intend to sell for the 2015 Major League Soccer season at the Orlando Citrus Bowl. Orlando City has chosen the 14,000-seat cap to ease the transition from the Citrus Bowl in 2015 to the new downtown soccer stadium in 2016 due to the latter having far fewer seats.

Those who purchase season tickets this year will become part of Society XXI, and if they renew in 2016 for the soccer specific stadium, they'll get their name permanently displayed in the new venue. Society XXI members receive an exclusive personalized scarf and a Society XXI sticker for their car.

"We could not be more excited about the response we've received from our supporters in Orlando and throughout Central Florida," said Orlando City Founder and President Phil Rawlins in a club press release. "Our players are ready to take the pitch on March 8 and look forward to rejoicing this moment with their City. Less than 1,000 opportunities remain to join us on the season-long journey, and take advantage of the wonderful benefits that come along with being a Season Ticket Member."

Sales have been brisk in recent weeks, and the club has reported that even the Club Level and Midfield East sections are nearing sellout status.

With the club all but certain to reach its goal of 14,000 season tickets sold, the preseason sales bode well for a great average attendance in the Lions' initial MLS season. A packed lower section of the Citrus Bowl will create an incredible atmosphere for Orlando City as it tries to establish its stadium as an impregnable fortress.

The club also continues its goal of selling 60,000+ seats for the March 8 opener and it is well on the way to reaching that mark.
