Orlando City Youth Academy Update: International Duty and USSDA Results
The Mane Land will soon be breaking in a new youth academy writer but for now, I’ll step in and offer an update on what’s going on with the young Lions of the Orlando City SC system.

Young Lions Tabbed for International Duty
A pair of Orlando City youth academy players will soon be representing the United States. Raul Aguilera Jr. has been called up to the U-16 U.S. Boys' National Team (BNT) and forward Mario Licor has been called up by U-15 Boys' National Team.
Aguilera Jr. will train in Rotterdam, Holland and participate in the Netherlands International Tournament from March 7-16. The U-16 USBNT will face the Republic of Ireland on March 11, the Czech Republic on March 13, and host the Netherlands on March 15.
Licor will be part of a 36-player-group to compete at a domestic camp from March 7-15 under Head Coach John Hackworth in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The Orlando City product is one of 17 players affiliated with a Major League Soccer team.
Orlando City U-17s Battling for CONCACAF Supremacy
Pierre Da Silva was an unused sub in yesterday's 2-0 victory over Trinidad & Tobago in the U-17 CONCACAF Championship in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. The forward has yet to leave the bench in two matches for the Americans, which also defeated Cuba, 5-0, on Friday.
Da Silva and the U.S. sit atop the Group A standings at 2-0-0 and will face Guatemala on Thursday.
Nathaniel Adamolekum has seen plenty of playing for Jamaica, scoring a goal in the 13th minute and picking up a yellow card in the 67th minute of yesterday's 2-1 win over Guatemala. He played all 90 minutes. Adamolekum played 75 minutes in a 2-0 loss to host Honduras on Friday.
At 1-1-0, Jamaica is tied for second in Group A, sitting on three points. However, Honduras has a match in hand and the head-to-head tiebreaker. Jamaica takes on last-place Cuba on Thursday.
U.S. Soccer Development Academy Boys
Orlando City's U-17/18 drew 0-0 with Capital Area Railhawks Academy on Saturday in Durham. Paul Shaw's squad is fourth in the table in the East Conference's Southeast Division, and has clinched a wild card spot for the playoffs.
Jeff Negalha's U-15/16 squad lost 4-2 to Capital Area, but sits atop the Southeast Division standings and has already clinched a playoff spot. It was only the team's third loss of the season. The Railhawks, the second place team, has also already clinched a postseason invitation
