Orlando City vs. Columbus Crew: How to Watch,TV Listings, Live Stream and More

This is your open thread for tonight’s showdown between Orlando City and Eastern Conference opponents, Columbus Crew SC. The Lions (2-2-2, 8 points) are coming off a 2-0 win at Portland on Sunday and have found better results on the road than at home so far, posting a 2-0-1 mark away from the Citrus Bowl.

The Crew (1-2-2, 5 points) is winless in its last three matches, but has drawn two straight — both on the road. Columbus was held to a scoreless tie at New England last Saturday night and battled to a 2-2 draw at Vancouver just three days prior to that. Fans of the Black and Gold will be hoping their Crew can turn a three-game winless streak into a three-game unbeaten streak in one match.

Orlando City has struggled to start the same lineup two matches in a row due to injuries and international call-ups but Adrian Heath will have that at his discretion this evening if he opts to play the same formation as last Sunday at Portland. The alternative is to start Carlos Rivas at left attacking midfield. I suspect he’ll play the more defensive lineup he used last week and save Rivas as a late game sub at striker for Cyle Larin again this week.

Brek Shea played left back for the USMNT on Wednesday night in San Antonio but played only the second half and should be available to start for the Lions.

Here's all the content you need to prepare for tonight's match:

Match Thread Rules:

This is your live thread for posting comments on the match. So use our comments section below to talk about the game in real time with other supporters. If you're new, welcome to our happy home! While you're here, please observe a few basic rules:

  • Absolutely no links to illegal streams. They can get us in trouble, and no one wants that.
  • Try not to be “that guy” who spews nothing but venom and hate for the team. It’s ok to be critical, and, let’s face it, sometimes even the best teams can be frustrating to watch, but being overly negative relentlessly can sap the enjoyment for others.
  • Keep it somewhat clean and fair when criticizing players / officials. You never know who might be reading.
  • Do unto others in the match thread, the way you would have others do unto you. We are a fun community and want to keep it this way. We have a moderator, but we’d rather let him enjoy the game instead of having to play babysitter.
  • Finally, we don’t have a rule against profanity but don’t abuse the non-rule. Also, any language that is sexist, racist, or homophobic in nature will be swiftly deleted and you may lose posting privileges. We’re all in this together.
