It’s Thursday which means the next Orlando City game is only three days away. We know the wait is hard, especially with Memorial Day weekend coming, so here are today’s Lion Links to get you through.

OCSC’s Watson Holds No Grudges Against Quakes

When the Lions travel to San Jose for Sunday’s match, it’ll be the first time Orlando City Assistant Coach Mark Watson will face the team that fired him as head coach. But Watson told MLSsoccer.com that he ain’t mad.

“There is no negative emotion,” Watson told MLSsoccer.com ahead of Sunday’s nationally televised match between OCSC and the Quakes (7 pm ET; Fox Sports 1). “Five years there, and a lot of good times. I’ll go back with pure focus of doing what I can to build on a great win against LA.”

Louisville City FC Advances in U.S. Open Cup

After a grueling match with Lansing United, Louisville City came out on top 1-0. All the scoring came off a shot by Charlie Adams that deflected in for a Lansing United own goal. The match was played in front of a modest 647 fans. The OCSC USL affiliate will face Indy 11 in the third round of the cup. The fourth round will start to feature the U.S.-based MLS clubs. While we wait for the draw, the Tulsa Roughnecks’ supporters group, the Roustabouts, produced this intriguing list of potential fourth-round match-ups.

NASL Adds Miami as 12th Team

There’s a professional soccer club in Miami and David Beckham doesn’t own it. Instead, the owners are entrepreneur Riccardo Silva and world-renowned soccer superstar Paolo Maldini. The NASL announced yesterday that Miami FC will be the league’s 12th team, starting play in 2016. According to the NASL,

Miami FC will play its home games in one of the existing world-class stadiums of Miami.

In other words, they don’t have a stadium yet either.

Fox Announces FIFA Women’s World Cup TV Schedule

Yesterday FOX announced the TV schedule for the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup which features an unprecedented 16 live matches on a single broadcasting network. Between all of their stations, FOX will be airing 52 matches live from the six cities in Canada where the matches are taking place. We hope you tune in to watch the USWNT as they seek to lift the trophy at the end of the tournament.

CCL Draw to be Held June 1

Yesterday it was announced that the draw for the CONCACAF Champions League would be held June 1 in Miami. Major League Soccer will be represented by reigning champions LA Galaxy, Supporters Shield and U.S. Open Cup champions Seattle Sounders, New England Revolution, Vancouver Whitecaps, and Real Salt Lake.

After the fantastic run by Montreal in the 2014/15 CCL, MLS fans everywhere hope to see another team from the league take a shot at the CONCACAF crown.
