Welcome to your live thread for tonight’s match between Orlando City and the Chicago Fire. The Lions have a modest unbeaten streak of three games (one win, two draws) and hope to make it four against a much-improved Fire squad that had its own three-game unbeaten streak snapped in midweek, 3-1 at D.C. United.

City will be without Brek Shea (international duty), Tyler Turner (international duty), Conor Donovan (international duty), Bryan Rochez (international duty), Tommy Redding (knee), and Martin Paterson (knee), in addition to the other long-term knocks to Kevin Molino and Tony Cascio. Adrian Heath has everyone else back in the lineup, including last Saturday’s hero, Pedro Ribeiro, who will likely start the game on the bench while he works his way up to full match fitness from a torn hamstring sustained on April 3.

Although Carlos Rivas struggled to finish last week, he might be Heath’s best bet for an attacking partner for Cyle Larin, as Lewis Neal isn’t quite as dynamic offensively. It’s possible we’ll see a formation change tonight, but I think Heath stays with the 4-2-3-1 with Ribeiro still trying to get fully fit.

The last time Orlando City met Chicago, the Fire was knocking the Lions out of the quarterfinals of the 2013 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, by a 5-1 score. This time, both teams are battling for a playoff spot in Major League Soccer’s Eastern Conference.
