Orlando City now knows who, when and where it will play in Round 5 of the 2015 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup The Lions will host the Columbus Crew at 7:30 p.m. on June 30 in the Round of 16, seeking a spot in the Open Cup quarterfinals.

That match, which will be played at the Citrus Bowl, will have a long way to go to live up to last night's thrill ride that ended after 10 rounds of penalties, following a 120-minute 4-4 draw. The Lions trailed twice in the second half and ultimately took a two-goal lead in extra time before the Charleston Battery came charging back to force spot kicks in a game that had a little bit of everything.

City is now 8-4-1 all-time in U.S. Open Cup action and faces a team it has yet to beat. The Lions lost to the Crew, 3-0, in Columbus in the first meeting. Orlando went down a man early in that April 18 match when Rafael Ramos was sent off for a reckless challenge. The Crew went down a man early in the rematch in Orlando on May 30, when Michael Parkhurst handled the ball on the goal line. The teams drew 2-2 that day, thanks to a late Pedro Ribeiro scorcher.

Columbus reached the Round of 16 with a 3-1 win last night over the Richmond Kickers in Columbus on goals by Adam Bedell (twice) and Ethan Finlay.

Orlando will be better rested for the Round 5 game without an MLS match the weekend before, however, the Lions will have to prepare for a tough road trip to Real Salt Lake on July 4, which will no doubt affect Adrian Heath’s lineup. That game starts at 10 p.m. Eastern.

The Orlando City-Columbus winner will travel to either the Chicago Fire or Charlotte Independence for the semifinals on July 21 or 22, and the semifinal winner will visit whoever wins the East region — D.C. United, New York Red Bulls, New York Cosmos or Philadelphia Union — in August.
